We've got this!
Hi everyone!
Here we go. Our next phase of schooling enters the fold this week as we launch our new remote learning schedule. I know this isn't the situation we all signed- up for, so I'm sure many of you maybe feeling a mixture of emotions and wondering how we will do this. I'm here to remind you that...We've got this. Our district is made up of the most caring, compassionate, creative, and hard working educators around. Just think about all you have already accomplished in such a short amount of time. We've got this. Our plan moving forward is perfectly imperfect, but we will adapt as we go. #Stayflexible was mentioned at one of our Zoom sessions this week and it will become our middle name as we move and shift to create a new learning environment. We've got this. There is a lot to learn regarding how to move to online instruction, video conferencing, online resources for students, screencasting, discussion boards, and managing a digital environment. Thank goodness for our tech department who has gone above and beyond to provide you with resources, live PD sessions, and to get technology in the hands of students, and find the time to tell jokes! Here are two for you Sam, as I'm learning one joke a day as part of my quarantine bucket list. "What did the right eye say to the left eye? Between us, something smells." "The future, past, and present walked into a meeting. It was tense." We've got this. If this week you hit a moment where it feels a bit overwhelming trying to create balance between home situations and work, make sure you reach out and connect with someone, go outside to get some fresh air, hug a loved one, or simply breathe. We've got this.
