#MURSDGratitude Hi everyone, I hope you are hanging in there and were able to get outside on Saturday when the weather was nice. Above, I share a great reflective tool for all of us to make sure we are taking care of ourselves and of others during our time at home. In speaking with colleagues and friends, all of us have our moments where we are feeling a multitude of feelings such as grief and sadness or anxiety and fear. This is where all of the self-care strategies we have focused on this year will really help us out through this difficult and anxiety-provoking time. Please know that you are not alone and we are all in this together. We are so fortunate to have an extended MURSD Community that we can draw upon for strength and support, so please reach out at any point. Keep checking on your colleagues, spreading joy, and taking time for yourself to get outside, get exercise, and do something just for you. Expressing gratitude is one strategy that I plan to focus on each week to help me to focus on what's important and I hope you can share your own #MURSDGratitude as well. 1. Thanks to my favorite dance instructors who have opened up virtual access for dance classes this past week. I always love the HipHop dance by Alycia Beatrice and the Zumba class with Olga Grau was just what I needed! 2. Thank you to all of the essential workers who are working at local businesses to help sustain us with deliveries, medicine, and food. I saw my former students working hard at the local grocery stores, pizza restaurants, and Dunkin Donuts this past week and was amazed by their positivity. 3. Thank you to all of our health and medical workers who are on the front lines. Their compassion and dedication to helping those in greatest need are literally saving lives. ResourcesExtended Learning Website The following website has informational updates, FAQs, and digital resources for families. We continue to add to the website weekly as new updates come out from the state. We also have added social emotional learning and behavioral support information for families, as well as technology support for teachers on this website. Please bookmark this and share it with parents. District Norms for Zoom Conferencing This past week we dipped our toes in the water of Zoom Conferencing. As we look to use video conferencing with students on a more regular basis, we will be sharing out finalized district norms and best practices for live conferencing. We are waiting on specific legal guidance from DESE this week, but here is a draft of the norms so you can begin reviewing the information. We will update this when we receive the legal guidance. This can be formally shared with students and parents by the end of this coming week. MURSD Online Learning Resources

I love that you take HipHop! I have been doing live and recorded pilates classes. I do the 6 am class on Monday, Wednesday, Friday. I couldn't do that when I was teaching at school so it's a nice way to start the day. I have also done a few classes out on my deck in the sun. Zooming for the first time with my kids this week, the draft of norms was very helpful, thank you!
