Classroom visits
It is a privilege and an honor to be able to spend time in classrooms, meetings, and other events across the district each week. Every interaction, every dialogue about teaching and learning, every student "aha!", every creative project, every enriching activity....they build a collective story of what it means to be a member of our entire school community. Thank you for opening up your classrooms and sharing in the successes as well as the creative risks that you bring every day. Our students are extremely fortunate!

Thank you to our incredible facilities team of custodians who help to make our schools sparkle. :) We are so thankful for all of your hard work, often taking place behind the scenes, so we can have safe and clean educational environments. Classroom Walkthrough Form
We are thrilled to announce that some of our processes just got simplified, thanks to the MURSD Educator Evaluation Team. Last year the team worked on finally simplifying the classroom walkthrough/observation form to remove all of the dreaded checklists. Thanks to the collaboration with the MURTA and administrative representatives who worked on this last year. No substantive changes in content were made, just the reduction of the checklists and simplification of the form to give room for clearer descriptive observations and feedback. Walkthroughs will be beginning soon and we wanted to share with everyone the forms in advance, which are linked here (Teacher form/Specialized Instructional Support Personnel or SISP form). Let us know if you have any questions by leaving them here. MURSD Educator Evaluation Team will try to answer them on Friday during PD.

CYBERSECURITY Tip
Did you know that October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month? Therefore, we will provide some tips that can help us create a more secure environment for our digital student and staff information. The easiest first step is to make sure you have a powerful password and that you do not share passwords across platforms. Passwords should be easy for you to remember but hard for somebody else to guess. We recommend that you don’t include the following:
• Partner’s name • Child’s name • Pet’s name • Place of birth • Favorite holiday • Something related to your favorite sports team • A list of numbers (e.g. 123456) or words like ‘password’ or ‘qwerty’. Did you know that in Google you can easily set-up 2-factor authentication? Reach out if you would like assistance in setting that up. YOU INSPIre me nominationsLaughter is the best medicine
